AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A
ONE YEAR LEASE, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR ADDITIONAL
ONE YEAR PERIODS THROUGH THE YEAR 2011, WITH THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION (FAA) TO OPERATE THE REMOTE TRANSMITTER
SITE NO. 2 AND REMOTE RECEIVER SITE (FAA LEASE DTFA07-97-L-
01062), IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FAA ESTABLISHING, MAINTAINING,
AND OPERATING AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER FACILITIES AT THE
CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a one-year lease
with the option to renew for additional one-year periods through the year 2011 with the U.S.
Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration to operate Remote Transmitter Site No
2 and Remote Receiver Site, (FAA lease DTFA07-97-L-01062) in consideration of the FAA
establishing, maintaining, and operating air traffic control tower facilities at the Corpus Christi
International Airport, all as more fully set forth in the Lease, a substantial copy of which is on file with
the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. Publication will be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
