HomeMy WebLinkAbout022755 ORD - 11/19/1996ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,650,000 FROM THE SALE OF CITY PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A NEW FEDERAL COURTHOUSE IN THE NO. 220 STREET CAPITAL PROJECT FUND FOR THE GATEWAY PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $1,650,000 from the sale of City property to the United States of America for a new federal courthouse is hereby appropriated in the No. 220 Street Capital Project Fund for the Gateway Project. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that t jss grdinance i passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the (fh day of jfJ1thtft.) , 1996.
