HomeMy WebLinkAbout022775 ORD - 11/26/1996ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $43,148.26 FROM THE ESTATE OF MILDRED SESSIONS IN THE NO. 111 MUSEUM TRUST FUND; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 022643 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 96-97 BUDGET BY ADDING $43,148.26 TO THE NO. 111 MUSEUM TRUST FUND; AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF $43,148.26 TO THE FRIENDS OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MUSEUM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $43,148.26 from the Estate of Mildred Sessions in the No. 111 Museum Trust Fund. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.022643 which adopted the FY 96-97 budget is hereby amended by increasing the No. 111 Museum Trust Fund appropriation by $43,148.26. SECTION 3. That the transfer of $43,148.26 from the No. 111 Museum Trust Fund to the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for the benefit of the Museum is hereby authorized. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that is ordinance assed and,�shalt take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the (A day of (C Leal frV 1996.
