APPROPRIATING A $1,009,300 GRANT FROM THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND RELATED
ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING TRAVEL SURVEY ACTIVITIES,
TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY THE METROPOLITAN
PLANNING ORGANIZATION; ADDING $1,009,300 TO THE
NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The Texas Department of Transportation ("TXDOT") has provided a $1,009,300 grant
for transportation planning and related activities, including travel survey activities, to be
undertaken by the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated a $1,009,300 grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation to pay for transportation planning and related activities, including travel survey
activities, to be undertaken by the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
SECTION 2. $1,009,300 is added to the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for
the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made
and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this or finance is p�s ed and sha 1 tak� effect upon
