HomeMy WebLinkAbout022792 ORD - 12/10/1996• ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $18,580 FROM THE HEWIT ESTATES PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION'S FOR MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE HEWIT ESTATES SUBDIVISION IN THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND - STREET LIGHTING ACTIVITY; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022643, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 1996-1997 BUDGET, BY ADDING $18,580 TO THE 102 GENERAL FUND - STREET LIGHTING ACTIVITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City of Corpus Christi, Central Power and Light Company ("CPL"), and the Hewit Estates Property Owners Association have made an agreement under which the association will reimburse the city for all ornamental street lighting aid -to -construction costs which exceed normal CPL charges to the city for wood -pole street lighting. The association's reimbursement is estimated at $18,580. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is appropriated $18,580 from the Hewit Estates Property Owners Association's for municipal street lighting improvements in the Hewit Estates Subdivision in the No. 102 General Fund - Street Lighting Activity. SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 022643, which adopted the FY 1996-1997 budget, is amended by adding $18,580 to the 102 General Fund - Street Lighting Activity. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance,4 passed d shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /0 day of 'c%z , 1996.
