AUTHORIZING PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND LEISURE TIME
ACTIVITIES RENTAL FEE AND RECREATIONAL FEE INCREASES AND
ADDING NEW RENTAL AND RECREATIONAL FEES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1,
1997.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the limits for rate increases established in City Code Sections
36-3 and 36-7 the parks and recreation director is authorized to increase certain fees set forth below,
with the rate increase limits in sections 36-3 and 36-7 thereafter applying to the fees authorized
herein.
LATCHKEY
Latchkey (End of School day - 6 PM)
Monthly Fee for 1st child on scholarship
Monthly Fee for each additional child on scholarship
Summer Latchkey (7:30 AM - 6 PM)
Scholarship Fee per week for 1st child
Weekly fee for each additional child on scholarship

(k) Group rates for regattas, races, and boating events will be prorated based on the
linear footage of pleasure boat slips used.
The rates and rentals herein are part of any slip rental contract executed under section 12-79.
SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision
of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent
jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision clause, phrase, word or provision
of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision
clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 4. This ordinance becomes effective August 1, 1997.
