HomeMy WebLinkAbout023069 RES - 09/23/1997RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR FAA GRANTS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FAA GRANT ASSURANCES AND REQUIREMENTS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS APPROVED BY THE CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED ANNUALLY BY CITY COUNCIL. WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires a Public Agency Sponsor to have legall auathority to apply for the grant, and to finance and carry out the proposed project that is the subject of the grant application; and WHEREAS, the FAA requires the Public Agency Sponsor to comply with all grant assurances, to identfy an official representative of the Public Agency to act in connection with the grant application and to provide additional information as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to apply for Federal Aviation Administration grants, in compliance with all grant assurances and requirements, and in accordance with the Capital Improvement Projects as approved by the Capital Budget adopted annually by City Council. SECTION 2 The City Manager, or designee, is identified as the City's official representative to act in connection with the grant application and to provide such additional information as may be required.
