HomeMy WebLinkAbout023196 ORD - 01/20/1998AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 022558 PASSED AND APPROVED ON APRIL 30, 1996 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED AGAINST THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS INCLUDED IN THE WYNN SEALE AREA STREET IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE III PROJECT: 16TH STREET - COLE TO SOUTH STAPLES 17TH STREET - COLE TO SOUTH STAPLES 18TH STREET - COLE TO BALDWIN BLVD. NAPLES STREET - 18TH STREET TO SOUTH STAPLES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance 022558 passed and approved on April 30, 1996 be amended by amending Section 3 to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments to be levied against the owners of property abutting on the following streets included in the Wynn Seal Area Street Improvements - Phase III project: 16th Street - Cole to South Staples; 17th Street - Cole to South Staples; 18th Street - Cole to Baldwin Blvd.; Naples Street - 18th Street to South Staples, a substantial copy of which is attached and incorporated as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinanc is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of \ (Uhl{ , 1998.
