HomeMy WebLinkAbout023198 ORD - 01/20/1998AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A ONE YEAR USE PRIVILEGE AGREEMENT, WITH ACKERLEY AIRPORT ADVERTISING, DBA AK MEDIA AIRPORT TO OPERATE AN ADVERTISING SERVICES BUSINESS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN CONSIDERATION OF 58% OF GROSS PROFITS OR $66,000 ANNUALLY, WHICHEVER IS GREATER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a one-year Use Privilege Agreement, with Ackerley Airport Advertising, dba AK Media Airport to operate an advertising services business at various locations in the Corpus Christi International Airport in consideration of 58% of Gross Profits or $66,000 annually, whichever is greater, a copy of the Use Privilege Agreement is on file with the City Secretary. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is p ssed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the gt f h day of l'Ulakz , 1998.
