STATING THE CITY COUNCIL'S INTENT TO FURTHER CONSIDER A "BUY -
THROUGH" TARIFF FOR CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY AS
PROPOSED BY CORPUS CHRISTI POWER & LIGHT COMPANY, L.C.; AND
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON ON FEBRUARY 10, 1998
WHEREAS, Corpus Christi Power & Light Company, L.C., has proposed a "Buy -Through"
tariff to be part of the rates of Central Power and Light Company, along with a related franchise, for
the stated purpose of achieving electric rate competition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said proposal should be further considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby states its intent to further consider the Buy -Through Tariff
proposal made by Corpus Christi Power & Light Company, L.C., and directs that a public hearing
be scheduled at the regular City Council meeting on February 10, 1998, to allow Central Power and
Light Company and all others to address the issues raised by the proposal.
