HomeMy WebLinkAbout023219 ORD - 02/17/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $8,972.43, FROM BOND PROCEEDS INTEREST EARNINGS, IN THE NO. 577 BAYFRONT ARTS & SCIENCES CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; TRANSFERRING $171,117.33 FROM THE NO. 577 BAYFRONT ARTS & SCIENCES CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND TO THE NO. 300 GENERAL OBLIGATION DEBT SERVICE FUND TO MAKE THE LAS CARABELAS COLUMBUS FLEET SEMIANNUAL DEBT SERVICE PAYMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $8,972.43 is appropriated, from bond proceeds interest earnings, in the No. 577 Bayfront Arts & Sciences Capital Projects Fund. SECTION 2. That $171,117.33 is transferred from the No. 577 Bayfront Arts & Sciences Capital Projects Fund to the No. 300 General Obligation Debt Service Fund to make the Las Carabelas Columbus Fleet semiannual debt service payment of $173,512.50. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance ' passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ill h day of IkebLut /elk L-/ , 1998.
