HomeMy WebLinkAbout023254 ORD - 03/17/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING S26,496 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FOR ADDITIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONSUMER HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 1, 1997 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 1998; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $26,496 from the Texas Department of Health for additonal environmental and consumer health services for the period September 1, 1997 through August 31, 1998 is appropriated in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this /ordinance �n is, �p,assed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the die/l day of I Y l�/h ('.fj , 1998.
