HomeMy WebLinkAbout023280 ORD - 04/21/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $339,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FOR THE OPERATION OF A SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AGES ONE TO EIGHTEEN YEARS IN THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $339,000 is appropriated from the Texas Department of Human Services for the operation of a Summer Food Service Program for Summer Recreation Program Participants ages one to eighteen years in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that /th�is ordinance i ssedn�� shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the et -t day of p' Y" , 1998.
