HomeMy WebLinkAbout023308 ORD - 05/12/1998AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $95,000 FROM COLUMBIA RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL, INC., AND CALALLEN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT'S REIMBURSEMENT IN THE NO. 220 STREETS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR A NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL AT THE FM 624/RIVER EAST DRIVE INTERSECTION; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023174, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 97-98 CAPITAL BUDGET, TO ADD $95,000 TO THE STREETS PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $95,000 from Columbia Riverside Hospital, Inc., and the reimbursement of Calallen Independent School District is appropriated in the No. 220 Streets Capital Projects Fund for traffic signal control at the FM 624/River East Drive intersection; SECTION 2. That Ordinance 023174, which adopted the FY 97-98 Capital Budget, is amended by adding $95,000 to the Streets Program; and SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the/2 f- i day of 1/4-11/1 0(5 , 1998.
