Home My WebLink About023314 ORD - 05/12/1998AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $778,175 FROM THE SALE OF CITY PROPERTY TO THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION IN THE NO. 220 STREETS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; TRANSFERRING $778,175 FROM THE NO. 220 STREETS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND TO THE NO. 291 PARKS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR BAYFRONT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS; APPROPRIATING $778,175 IN THE NO. 291 PARKS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND, $283,175 FOR THE BAYFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: BAYFRONT PARKS, AND $495,000 IN THE NO. 291 PARKS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE BAYFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: IH -37 PARK; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023174, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 97-98 CAPITAL BUDGET, TO ADD $778,175 TO THE PARK AND RECREATION PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $778,175 from the sale of City property to the General Services Administration is appropriated in the No. 220 Streets Capital Projects Fund; SECTION 2. That $778,175 is transferred from the No. 220 Streets Capital Projects Fund to the No. 291 Parks Capital Projects Fund; SECTION 3. That $778,175 is appropriated in the No. 291 Parks Capital Projects Fund for Bayfront Improvement Projects: $283,175 for Bayfront Parks and $495,000 for IH -37 Park; SECTION 4. That Ordinance No. 023174, which adopted the FY 97-98 Capital Budget, is amended by adding $778,175 to the Park and Recreation Program; and SECTION 5. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the � j2 day of _ " , 1998.
