HomeMy WebLinkAbout023337 ORD - 06/16/1998AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $75,000 RECEIVED FROM A CORPUS CHRISTI BAY NATIONAL ESTUARY PROGRAM/TNRCC SUBRECIPIENT GRANT TO THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND TO IMPLEMENT THE FALCON PARK/OSO CREEK WETLAND ENHANCEMENT AND DEMONSTRATION PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $75,000 from a Corpus Christi Bay National Estuary Program/TNRCC Subrecipient Grant is appropriated in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund to implement the Falcon Park/Oso Creek Wetland Enhancement and Demonstration Project. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so thatt is ordinanc s passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the k day of,(t 1998.
