AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A TWENTY YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE
GREATER CORPUS CHRISTI BUSINESS ALLIANCE FOR THE TEX MEX
RAILROAD DEPOT TO BE LOCATED AT HERITAGE PARK (LOTS 1
THROUGH 6, BLOCK 79, BEACH PORTION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS) TO BE USED AS A VISITORS CENTER IN
CONSIDERATION FOR PROVIDING COMPLETE REHABILITATION OF
THE FACILITY, VISITOR SERVICES AND CONTINUED MAINTENANCE
OF BOTH THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING;
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute a twenty year
lease with the Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance for the Tex Mex Railroad Depot to be
located at Heritage Park (Lots 1 through 6, Block 79, Beach Portion of the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas)to be used as a visitors center in consideration for providing complete rehabilitation of the
facility, visitor services and continued maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the building.
A copy of the lease is on file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. Publication will be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
