HomeMy WebLinkAbout023340 ORD - 06/16/1998AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A TWENTY YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE GREATER CORPUS CHRISTI BUSINESS ALLIANCE FOR THE TEX MEX RAILROAD DEPOT TO BE LOCATED AT HERITAGE PARK (LOTS 1 THROUGH 6, BLOCK 79, BEACH PORTION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS) TO BE USED AS A VISITORS CENTER IN CONSIDERATION FOR PROVIDING COMPLETE REHABILITATION OF THE FACILITY, VISITOR SERVICES AND CONTINUED MAINTENANCE OF BOTH THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute a twenty year lease with the Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance for the Tex Mex Railroad Depot to be located at Heritage Park (Lots 1 through 6, Block 79, Beach Portion of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas)to be used as a visitors center in consideration for providing complete rehabilitation of the facility, visitor services and continued maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the building. A copy of the lease is on file with the City Secretary. SECTION 2.
