Home My WebLink About023341 ORD - 06/16/1998AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A TWENTY YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE CORPUS CHRISTI HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE BUDDY LAWRENCE HOUSE TO BE LOCATED AT HERITAGE PARK (LOTS 4, 5, AND 6, BLOCK 60, BEACH PORTION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS) TO BE USED FOR OPERATIONS OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AS WELL AS FOR TOURIST AND CONVENTION PROMOTION IN CONSIDERATION OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($150) MONTHLY AND INTERIOR MAINTENANCE OF THE FACILITY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute a twenty year lease with the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the Buddy Lawrence House to be located at Heritage Park (Lots 4, 5, and 6, Block 60, Beach Portion of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas) to be used for operations of the Chamber of Commerce as well as for tourist and convention promotion in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) monthly and interior maintenance of the facility. A copy of the lease is on file with the City Secretary. SECTION 2.
