Home My WebLink About023379 ORD - 07/21/1998r f AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,902,042 FROM INTEREST EARNINGS IN VARIOUS CAPITAL PROJECTS FUNDS, AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED EXHIBIT A; TRANSFERRING $1,902,042 TO AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 300 GENERAL OBLIGATION DEBT SERVICE FUND FOR THE ANNUAL DEBT SERVICE PAYMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $1,902,042 is appropriated from interest earnings in various Capital Projects Funds, as shown on the attached and incorporated Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That $1,902,042 is transferred to and appropriated in the No. 300 General Obligation Debt Service Fund for the annual debt service payment. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance i . .assed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this theal3' day of , 1998.
