AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S FIRE CHIEF TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT
AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE
CONSERVATION COMMISSION FOR THE PURCHASE OF TONE
ACTIVATED RADIOS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND
COMMUNICATIONS DURING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INCIDENTS
AND CONDUCT RELATED PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That the City' Fire Chief, who serves as Chairman, Corpus Christi/Nueces County
Local Emergency Planning Committee (which the City administrates), is authorized to execute an
amendment to the Supplemental Environmental Project Agreement with the Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission (TNRCC), which will allow respondents to TNRCC administrative
enforcement proceedings to contribute to the purchase of tone activated radios for emergency
response and communications during hazardous material incidents and the expenses related public
education programs on the use of the radios. A copies of the agreement and amendment are on file
with the City Secretary.
