APPROPRIATING TWO GRANTS FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH, IN THE AMOUNT OF $117,975 FOR REGIONAL
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND IN THE AMOUNT OF 5162,823 FOR
TUBERCULOSIS PREVENTION AND CONTROL, IN THE NO. 162
FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND -HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated a grant from the Texas Department of
Health in the amount of $117,975 for Regional Administrative Services in the No. 162 Federal/State
Grants Fund - Health Department.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated a grant from the Texas Department of
Health in the amount of $162,823 for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control in the No. 162
Federal/State Grants Fund - Health Department.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that t� ordinance is p ssed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
