ESTABLISHING A COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI TO HELP PROMOTE FULL PARTICIPATION IN THE
2000 CENSUS
WHEREAS,the City Council recognizes the importance of a complete and accurate census
count of residents for future allocation of federal funding for Local programs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to encourage the full participation of all residents in the
2000 U.S. Census.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council establish the Corpus Christi Complete Count
Committee shall be comprised of no more than 20 members to be appointed by the City Council who
shall serve from November 1, 1998 to June 30, 2000. The chairperson(s) of the Complete Count
Committee shall be appointed by the City Council.
SECTION 2. The Complete Count Committee will meet no less than monthly and provide
monthly reports to the City Council.
