HomeMy WebLinkAbout023447 ORD - 09/22/1998AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING 5500,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PROTECTIVE AND REGULATORY SERVICES IN THE NO. 163 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND TO FUND THE APPROVED 78415 YOUTH SERVICE PROGRAMS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $500,000 is appropriated in the No. 163 Federal/State Grants Fund from the TexasDepartment of Protective and Regulatory Services to fund the approved 78415 youth service programs. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that J s ordinance i i sassed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the'G to day of I / • , 1998.
