APPROPRIATING $142,846.00 FROM THE WATER ARTERIAL
TRANSMISSION AND GRID MAIN TRUST FUND NO. 143-246.95 TO
REIMBURSE BRYAN R. TUCKER, DEVELOPER OF SUMMER BREEZE
ESTATES, FOR INSTALLATION OF A 12 -INCH WATER GRID MAIN
ALONG THE YORKTOWN BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY EASTERLY
TO FLOUR BLUFF DRIVE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $142,846.00 is appropriated from the Water Arterial Transmission and
Grid Main Trust Fund to reimburse Bryan R. Tucker, developer of Summer Breeze Estates, for
installation of a 12 -inch water grid main along the Yorktown Boulevard right-of-way easterly to
Flour Bluff Drive.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this ordinance i passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the /3/1h day of UCIObt' U , 1998.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.

representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officer that the money
required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditure described below is in the
Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified below, from which it is to be drawn, and has not
been appropriated for any other purpose:

the installation of 3.300 linear feet of a 12 -inch PVC water grid main line.
