AMENDING THE CODE OF ETHICS, ARTICLE V, DIVISION II, SECTION
2-325 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO
SPECIFY THAT THE ETHICS COMMISSION SHALL MEET AT LEAST
ONCE A YEAR AND TO SPECIFY AN ANNUAL MEETING DATE.
WHEREAS, the Ethics Commission has recently met to consider proposed changes to the
Code of Ethics; and
WHEREAS, the Ethics Commission recommends that the Code of Ethics be amended to
specify that the commission shall meet at least once a year and to specify an annual meeting date,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The Code of Ethics, Article V, Division 11, Section 2-325 of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi is amended as follows:
Sec. 2-325. Meetings.
The commission shall have such meetings as may be necessary to fulfill its
responsibilities. The chairperson or any three (3) members may call a meeting
provided that reasonable notice is given to each member.
The commission shall meet at least once a year. The date of the annual
meeting shall be the last Wednesday in July.
The commission shall comply with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
