BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
NAMING THE NEW FLOUR BLUFF BRANCH LIBRARY
THE JANET F. HARTE LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Janet and Ed Harte have contributed $1.84 million dollars to the City of Corpus
Christi to design, construct, furnish and equip a new branch library in Flour Bluff; and
WHEREAS, Janet and Ed Harte have supported numerous philanthropic causes in Corpus
Christi; and
WHEREAS, the Library Board endorses naming the new library in honor of Mrs. Harte,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the new branch library in Flour Bluff shall be named the "Janet F.
Harte Library."
