SUPPORTING THE INITIATIVES OF THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION AND THE TEXAS REGIONAL AIR SERVICE TASK FORCE
THROUGH COMMITMENT OF FUNDS AS A PARTICIPATING SPONSOR OF THE
STATEWIDE SMALL MARKET AIR SERVICE NEEDS ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, the air transportation system is critical to our local, regional, and national
economies; and
WHEREAS, it is the mission Texas Regional Air Service Task Force to seek improvement in
intrastate and interstate air service at member small and non -hub airport cities; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a grant to the Texas Regional Air
Service Task Force to conduct a Small Market Air Service Needs Assessment; and
WHEREAS, participating communities must provide Certification of Project Funds as a condition
for participation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Corpus Christi desires to participate in the Texas Regional Air Service Task Force
Small Market Air Service Needs Assessment.
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi certifies the availability of funds for the study which shall be ninety
percent funded by Federal Aviation Administration Grant to the Texas Department of Transportation, five
percent funded by the Texas Department of Transportation, and the remaining five percent shared equally
by all participating sponsor airports.
