AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 023436 TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF
MEMBERS OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI COMPLETE COUNT
COMMITTEE FROM TWENTY (20) TO TWENTY-SIX (26) AND
AUTHORIZE THE COMMITTEE TO APPOINT NON -COMMITTEE
MEMBERS TO SUBCOMMITTEES
WHEREAS, on September 15, 1998, in Resolution No. 023436, the City Council
established the Corpus Christi Complete Count Committee to help promote full participation in the
2000 Census;
WHEREAS, Section 2-68 of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances provides that no
committee shall appoint persons outside its membership to subcommittees without prior approval
of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 023436 which established the Corpus Christi Complete
Count Committee is hereby amended to provide that the number of members of the Complete Count
Committee be increased from twenty (20) to twenty-six (26) to be appointed by the City Council.
SECTION 2. That the Corpus Christi Complete Count Committee ("Committee") is hereby
authorized to create subcommittees and appoint members from outside the Committee membership
to its subcommittees.
