HomeMy WebLinkAbout023490 ORD - 11/24/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A MATCHING GRANT OF $3,832 FROM THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON THE ARTS IN THE NO. 114 HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX FUND - ARTS COMISSION BUDGET ACTIVITY TO SUPPORT THE CITY'S ART SUBGRANT PROGRAM; AMENDING THE FY 98-99 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 023387, TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $3,832 IN THE NO. 114 HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a matching grant of $3,832 from the Texas Commission on the Arts is appropriated in the No. 114 Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund - Arts Commission Budget Activity to support the City's Art Subgrant Program. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023387, which adopted the FY 98-99 budget, is amended by adding $3,832 to the No. 114 Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this,ordinanc i assed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ,Q4411 day of t7l(JYl.UU , 1998.
