HomeMy WebLinkAbout023508 ORD - 12/08/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $370,000 FROM THE CORPUS CHRISTI DOWNTOWN MANAGEMENT DISTRICT IN THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND - STREET LIGHTING ACTIVITY FOR PHASE 2 OF LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023387, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY98-99 BUDGET, BY ADDING $370,000 TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $370,000 from the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District is appropriated in the No. 102 General Fund for Phase 2 of Sidewalk/Street Lighting Improvements in the Downtown Business District. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023387, which adopted the FY98-99 budget, is amended by adding $370,000 to the No. 102 General Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this,ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the l day of Ly C( /IL (•JC ', 1998.
