HomeMy WebLinkAbout023510 ORD - 12/15/1998ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $185,914 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, IN THE NO. 162 STATE AND FEDERAL GRANT FUND FOR THE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $20,657 FROM THE NO. 111 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND AS THE CITY MATCH FOR THE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $185,914 is appropriated in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund from the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grants Program. SECTION 2. That $20,657 is transferred from the No. 111 Law Enforcement Trust Fund to and appropriated in the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund as the City's match for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grants Program. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that th�,i�sf,� �pQ�rdinanc s passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the J rtI1 day of ))P& J l.bli0 , 1998.
