APPROPRIATING A $10,886 EXTENSION GRANT AND A $131,673 GRANT
FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO THE NO.
162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FOR THE TITLE XX MEALS ON
WHEELS PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That a $10,886 extension grant and a $131, 673 grant are appropriated in the
No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund from the Texas Department of Human Services for the Title XX
Meals on Wheels Program.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
three regular meetings so that t�his, ordinance ispassedand shall take effect upon first reading as an

suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: Uwe,
