HomeMy WebLinkAbout023549 ORD - 01/26/1999AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $264,600 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND; TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND TO INSTALL A NEW AIR CONDITIONING CHILLER IN THE POLICE AND MUNICIPAL COURT BUILDING, TO BE REIMBURSED TO THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND WITH INTEREST; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023387, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 98-99 BUDGET, BY ADDING $264,600 TO THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND AND TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That $264,600 is appropriated in the Combined Utility Systems Fund from the unreserved fund balance. SECTION 2. That $264,600 is transferred to and appropriated in the No. 102 General Fund to pay for installation of new air conditioning chillers in the Police and Municipal Court Building, to be reimbursed to the Combined Utility Systems Fund with interest over 10 years at the interest rate received by the Combined Utility Systems Fund on its investments. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 023387, which adopted the FY 98-99 budget, is amended by adding $264,600 to the No. 102 General Fund and the Combined Utility Systems Fund. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is sassed and shall take effectpon first reading as an emergency measure this the `clay of wt U� t , 19 (9 .
