AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A TEN YEAR LEASE WITH THE CORPUS CHRISTI RADIO
CONTROL CLUB, INC. (CLUB) FOR 75 ACRES OUT OF THE WESTSIDE
LANDFILL IN CONSIDERATION OF THE CLUB MAINTAINING THE
PREMISES AND ADVANCING APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF
THE HOBBY OF BUILDING AND FLYING MODEL AIRCRAFT BY
PROVIDING PROGRAMS, EXHIBITIONS, AND EDUCATION ON AN ON-
GOING BASIS; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a ten year
lease with the Corpus Christi Radio Control Club, Inc. (Club) for 75 acres out of the Westside
Landfill in consideration of the Club maintaing the Premises and advancing appreciation and
enjoyment of the hobby of building and flying model aircraft by providing programs, exhibitions,
and education on an on-going basis. A copy of the lease is on file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. Publication will be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
