HomeMy WebLinkAbout023566 ORD - 02/16/1999AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, CHAPTER 53 - TRAFFIC, SECTION 53-250, SCHEDULE I, ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS, SECTION (A-1) SCHOOL AREAS, BY ESTABLISHING A ONE-WAY TRAFFIC PATTERN ON (A) DEVON DRIVE IN THE DIRECTION OF GOLLIHAR ROAD TO ALEXANDER STREET AND ON (B) ALEXANDER STREET IN THE DIRECTION OF DEVON DRIVE TO SPRING STREET DURING THE SCHOOL HOURS OF FANNIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding the following section: ARTICLE VIII. Schedule I - One -Way Streets and Alleys Section 53-250 (a-1) Street or Portion of Street Direction Of Traffic Alexander Street, from Devon Drive to Spring Street West Devon Drive, from Gollihar Road to Alexander Street North SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this resolution shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrases, word or provision of this resolution. It is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
