HomeMy WebLinkAbout023570 ORD - 03/09/1999ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING S57,517 FROM THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES COMMISSION TO OPERATE THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM THROUGH SOUTH TEXAS LIBRARY SYSTEM LOCATED AT CORPUS CHRISTI PUBLIC LIBRARY IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $57,517 from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission is appropriated in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund to operate the Technical Assistance Program through South Texas Library System located at Corpus Christi Public Library. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this or,dinance is assed and shall take effec on first reading as an emergency measure this the ' ' day of r1 Z cL ' 4 , 19 , .
