HomeMy WebLinkAbout023578 ORD - 03/16/1999AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $33,732 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS IN THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND - LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER STANDARDS AND EDUCATION FOR TRAINING OF POLICE PERSONNEL; AMENDING THE FY 98-99 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 023387 BY ADDING $33,732 TO THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND - LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER STANDARDS AND EDUCATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That $33,732 is appropriated from the State of Texas in the No. 6010 Trust Fund - Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education for training of Police personnel. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023387, which adopted the FY 98-99 budget, is amended by adding $33,732 to the No. 6010 Trust Fund - Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect ypon first reading as an emergency measure this the /WA day of Walt (%Jj , 19 £/QQ .
