HomeMy WebLinkAbout023579 ORD - 03/16/1999ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING S108,123 FROM THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE FUND BOARD TO PURCHASE COMPUTERS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $108,123 from the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board is appropriated in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund to purchase computers and related equipment for the Corpus Christi Public Libraries. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /lc/ /1 day of 91,1j'LkOij , 19 4(i .
