AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE UP
TO A ONE YEAR LEASE WITH SMARTE CARTE FOR
APPROXIMATELY 15 SQUARE FEET OF TERMINAL SPACE TO
OPERATE A SELF-SERVICE BAGGAGE CART AND STORAGE LOCKER
RENTAL CONCESSION AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT ON A MONTH-TO-MONTH LEASE FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS IN
CONSIDERATION OF LESSEE PAYING 7% OF SELF-SERVICE
BAGGAGE CART MONTHLY GROSS REVENUES AND 5% OF SELF -
SERVE STORAGE LOCKER MONTHLY GROSS REVENUES; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute up to a one year
lease with Smarte Carte for approximately 15 square feet of terminal space to operate a self-service
baggage cart and storage locker rental concession at Corpus Christi International Airport on a month-
to-month lease for up to 12 months in consideration of lessee paying 7% of self-service baggage cart
monthly gross revenues and 5% of self -serve storage locker monthly gross revenues. A copy of the
lease is on file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
at three regular meetings so that this or mance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we,
therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
