IN THE NO. 3210 LIBRARY CIP FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EXHIBITION GALLERY REFERENCED AS "BASE BID B" IN THE CITY'S PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE JANET F. HARTE PUBLIC LIBRARY; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023474 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 98-99 CAPITAL BUDGET, TO ADD $33,000 TO THE LIBRARY PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a grant of $33,000 from the Corpus Christi Public Library Foundation, Inc. is appropriated in the No. 3210 Library CIP Fund for the construction of an exhibition gallery referenced as "Base Bid B" in the City's plans and specifications for the Janet F. Harte Public Library. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023474 which adopted the Fiscal Year 1998-1999 Capital Budget is amended by adding $33,000 to the Library Program. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this dinance is p ssed and hall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the May of 1999.
