AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53 - TRAFFIC,
ARTICLE VIII - SCHEDULES, SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V,
INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES ON HOLLY
ROAD AND CIMMARON BOULEVARD; PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53 - Traffic,
Article VIII - Schedules, Section 53-254, Schedule V, is hereby amended by:
Deleting the following section:
Holly Road:
From Rodd Field Road to Everhart Road -- 35 MPH -- at all times.
And in lieu thereof, adding the following:
Holly Road
From Rodd Field Road to South Staples Street -- 45 MPH -- at all times.
From South Staples Street to Everhart Road -- 40 MPH -- at all times.
Cimmaron Boulevard:
From Yorktown Boulevard to the south terminus of Cimmaron Boulevard -- 40 MPH -- at
all times.
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 3. A violation of such speed limits may result in a citation being issued and a
fine being assessed.

Ordinances, Chapter 53,
Section 53-254,
Schedule V-- Increase of
State Speed Limit in
Certain Zones by
increasing speed limits
on sections of Holly
Road and Cimmaron
Boulevard as follows and
providing for penalties:
Holly Road from 35 mph
to 40 mph, between
Everhart Road and
Staples Street; Holly
Road from 35 mph to 45
mph, between Staples
Street and Rodd Field
Road; and Cimmaron
Boulevard from 30 mph
to 40 mph between
Yorktown Boulevard to
the south end of
Cimmaron Boulevard.
This ordinance was
passed and approved by
the City Council of the
City of Corpus Christi on
May 18, 1999.
