HomeMy WebLinkAbout023671 ORD - 06/15/1999ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $121,858.86 FROM THE ESTATE OF MILDRED SESSIONS IN THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND - MUSEUM DONATIONS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 23387 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY98- 99 BUDGET BY ADDING $121,858.86 TO THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND - MUSEUM DONATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $121,858.86 TO THE FRIENDS OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM OF SCIENCE ANDHISTORY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MUSEUM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $121,858.86 is appropriated from the Estate of Mildred Sessions Trust Fund -Museum Donations. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 23387, which adopted the FY98-99 budget, is amended by increasing the No. 6010 Trust Fund -Museum Donations appropriation by $121,858.86. SECTION 3. That $121,858.86 from the No. 6010 Trust Fund -Museum Donations is transferred to the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for the benefit of the Museum. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this rdinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 1 iday of ` �t A_� 1999.
