APPROPRIATING $364,600 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE
IN THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND; TRANSFERRING AND
APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 3180 CONVENTION CENTER CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND TO INSTALL TWO NEW AIR CONDITIONING
CHILLERS IN MEMORIAL COLISEUM, TO BE REIMBURSED TO THE
COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND WITH INTEREST; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 023387, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 98-99 BUDGET, BY
ADDING $364,600 TO THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEMS FUND AND
TO THE NO. 3180 CONVENTION CENTER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023474, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 98-99
CAPITAL BUDGET, BY ADDING $364,600 TO THE CONVENTION
CENTER PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That $364,600 is appropriated in the Combined Utility Systems Fund from
the unreserved fund balance.
SECTION 2. That $364,600 is transferred to and appropriated in the No. 3180 Convention
Center Capital Projects Fund to pay for installation of two new air conditioning chillers in Memorial
Coliseum, to be reimbursed to the Combined Utility Systems Fund with interest over 5 years at the
interest rate received by the Combined Utility Systems Fund on its investments.
SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 023387, which adopted the FY 98-99 budget, is amended
by adding $364,600 to the No. No. 3180 Convention Center Capital Projects Fund and the Combined
Utility Systems Fund.
SECTION 4. That Ordinance No. 023474, which adopted the FY 98-99 Capital Budget, is
amended by adding $364,600 to the Convention Center Program.
SECTION 5. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
dec a d requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
