AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A
ONE YEAR LEASE WITH THEODORE DIMOUPOULOS TO OCCUPY 434
SQUARE FEET OF THE EXISTING CHAPARRAL STREET RIGHT-OF-
WAY (ROW) WITH SUPPORTS FOR A BALCONY AND THE AIRSPACE
FORA BALCONY AT 315 CHAPARRAL STREET; ESTABLISHING A FEE
OF $433 AS PAYMENT FOR THE FIRST ONE-YEAR LEASE
INCREMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. One-year Lease with Theodore Dimopoulos to occupy 434 -square feet of the
existing Chaparral Street right-of-way (ROW) with a supports for a balcony and the airspace for a
balcony at 315 Chaparral Street. A copy of the Lease Contract is on file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. That Theodore Dimopoulos pay consideration of $433 for the first 1 -year
lease increment, with additional 5 -year increments, after completion of the 4 -year lease term being
approved on first reading on even date herewith, adjusted by the CPI, and comply with the terms and
conditions of the Lease.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this Qrdinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the a-1' day of , 1999.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
