DECLARE A STATE OF DISASTER
WHEREAS, the approach of Hurricane Bret constitutes an imminent threat of
widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property in Corpus Christi and
surrounding areas, and a State of Disaster should be declared pursuant to Section 418.014
of the Texas Government Code.
The Honorable George W. Bush, Governor of Texas, is hereby requested to issue an
executive order or proclamation declaring a State of Disaster.
