WHEREAS, a State of Disaster has been declared because Hurricane Bret poses an
imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or Loss of life or property in the
City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to limit access to certain areas of the City.
It is, therefore, ORDERED, that access to Padre and Mustang Islands via the JFK
Causeway is prohibited, except for authorized law enforcement and disaster relief
personnel until determined to be safe by the Chief of Police.
This Order shallbe ineffectimmediately upon execution.
