APPROPRIATING $8,912 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE
GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION IN THE NO. 1050
FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FOR THE CONTINUED OPERATION
OF THE CRIME ANALYSIS UNIT; TRANSFERRING $46,691 FROM THE
NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING IT IN THE NO. 1050
FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND AS GRANT MATCHING FUNDS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $8,912 is appropriated in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund from
the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for the continued operation of
the Crime Analysis Unit.
SECTION 2. That $46,691 is transferred from the No. 1020 General Fund and appropriated
in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund as the required grant matching funds for the continued
operation of the Crime Analysis Unit.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this o dinance isssed and sh 11 take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the 31 ay of c� t lam" , 1999.

requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two

finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
