HomeMy WebLinkAbout023762 ORD - 09/14/1999ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $110,010 FROM THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (AUTHORITY) FOR SUPPLEMENTAL POLICE PATROL AT THE AUTHORITY IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND -POLICE DEPARTMENT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 023702 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 99-00 BUDGET BY ADDING $110,010 TO THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND -POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $110,010 is appropriated from the Housing Authority of the City of Corpus Christi (Authority) for supplemental police patrol at the Authority in the No. 1020 General Fund -Police Department. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.023702 which adopted the FY 99-00 budget is hereby amended by increasing the No. 1020 General Fund -Police Department appropriation by $110,010. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this pprdinance is ssed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 1 `7T3'ay of 999.
