AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPLY
FOR A GRANT OF $133,900 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS
CRIMINAL, JUSTICE DIVISION TO FUND A PROJECT TO
PREVENT MINORS FROM PURCHASING AND CONSUMING
ALCOHOL USING POLICE OFFICERS ON OVERTIME.
WHEREAS, in the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division funds, the
City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to apply for a grant in the
amount of $133,900 from the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division to fund a project to prevent
minors from purchasing and consuming alcohol using Police Officers on overtime.
SECTION 2. In the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division funds, the
City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
