APPROPRIATING $8,000 FROM AN ANONYMOUS DONATION IN THE
NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND TO FUND A BASKETBALL PROGRAM AT
BEN GARZA GYM; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 023702, WHICH
ADOPTED THE FY99-00 BUDGET BY ADDING $8,000 TO THE NO. 1020
GENERAL FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $8,000 is appropriated from an anonymous donation in the No. 1020
General Fund to fund a basketball program at Ben Garza Gym.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023702, which adopted the FY99-00 budget, is amended
by increasing the No. 1020 General Fund appropriation by $8,000.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this ordinance is`as,s^ed' �and' shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the 1a day of , 1999.
